MAHA Ireland has made an encouraging start to 2026 – building on a strong 2025 record that saw 10 new CVRT test lanes open and six new workshop fitouts– with another 10 new projects underway this year.

Rathcoole, 30 March 2026. Last year, the workshop equipment provider exceeded its targets, driven by strong demand across equipment, spare parts and aftersales service.

MAHA Ireland Managing Director, Eoin Mallon, believes updated premises and equipment guidelines – including revised CVRT inspection standards and NCT compliance requirements – contributed to the surge in orders.

He said: “Our ability to respond to regulatory changes has become a defining feature of our strategy. New CVRT and NCT regulations create predictable, high-value sales opportunities, allowing test centres to upgrade their equipment efficiently and meet compliance standards with minimal disruption.”

Service-driven approach

Beyond regulatory drivers, MAHA Ireland believes its reputation for quality, reliability, aftersales service and support remains well-regarded. The workshop equipment provider is confident its service-driven approach is a key differentiator in the market, one that builds trust and encourages repeat business.

MAHA Ireland aims to address breakdowns within 24 hours, minimising disruption for both workshops and test centres. It also offers preventive maintenance packages, which are designed to help reduce downtime, extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent unexpected repairs. A full record of maintenance will be available too.

Commitment to vehicle testing

MAHA Ireland’s long-term contracts – the current partnership with NCT runs until 2030 while MAHA supplies approximately 70% of the CVRT segment – establish a strong position in the vehicle testing arena. The focus now is to build on that leadership.

Eoin added: “We are looking to build on early momentum, with legislation-driven demand, ongoing workshop investments and proactive aftersales support shaping what we hope will be another successful year.”
