The prize has already been awarded for 60 years and is one of the most prestigious design awards in the world.

Haldenwang, 9 February 2017. The decision as to who should receive this year’s “iF DESIGN AWARD 2017” certainly wasn’t an easy one for the jury, what with the huge number of more than 5,500 products submitted from a total of 59 countries. The MAPOWER II won over the independent experts and ultimately received the international award in silver in the “Product / Industry” category (1.20). The award has been presented annually for over 60 years by Hanover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH in recognition of particularly exceptional product design.

The fact that the award has gone to MAHA’s new two-post lifts for their appealing design is great confirmation of the quality of the work performed in the entire Development team. The award ceremony will take place on 10 March in BMW Welt in Munich as part of a celebratory event with around 2,000 invited guests.

The MAPOWER II family of two-post lifts
In addition to a chic design, the family of lifts from MAHA cuts an impressive figure with nine models in six different load capacity classes featuring technologically advanced features, and it offers a number of highlights for users too. Users appreciate the fact that they can access vehicles with ease, for example, and that the lifts offer a high level of holding variability, because this means that the same lift can be used to carry out maintenance and repair work on different sizes of vehicle. The available load capacities cover the entire spectrum from small cars to next-generation commercial vehicles with long wheelbases. What’s more, the MAPOWER II lifts are extremely sturdy, have a functionally sophisticated design and boast a high level of production quality as they are made in Germany. Thanks to their sophisticated design and high-quality materials, the lifts have a long service life and are put to highly reliable use around the world as quality products.

Customers can choose between an electromechanical and an electrohydraulic drive for the first time ever. This is MAHA’s response to the increasing demand for electrohydraulic drives for two-post lifts in many markets. MAHA has taken a particularly innovative approach, being the first manufacturer in the industry to integrate the connection option via the Internet of Things (IoT) and a built-in lighting concept into its family of lifts.

All in all, with the MAPOWER II two-post lift family, MAHA is offering its customers technologically unique two-post lifts that are well thought-out down to the smallest detail and that provide high recognition value of stringent design elements, high reliability and low maintenance requirements. “We are thrilled to have received the award and are proud to be able to offer our customers extremely reliable, powerful, innovative and – at the same time – visually appealing products with the MAPOWER II family,” smiles Thomas Feldmeier, Product Manager at MAHA.
